Neuron Cloud
Neuron Cloud is running on Google Cloud and are utilizing the security measures developed and supported by Google. This is both for storage and operation services. Google is leading in security and Neuron follows Google's best practice for all applications in use.
Transport
Data from sensors to Neuron Gateways are communicated on a proprietary ISM protocol. From Neuron Gateway to Neuron Cloud communication is done by MQTT with TLS encryption. When using the Neuron Cellular Gateway all communication to cloud is done on cellular network and will not add security risk to customer’s network.
Access to data
Customers can access data via Neuron App (neuronsensors.app) or via API. In Neuron App administrators can grant access to new users and choose level of permissions. It is the customers responsibility to manage and restrict access to users. All users choose their own password (8 characters minimum) and 2FA authentication is available as an option.
API
Several APIs are available, all access is set up in Neuron App. Only accessible by administrators of the system in Neuron App.
Storage
All data storage is done on Googles data centers in Europe. Continuously backup performed by Google and stored on separate data center.
