Article summary

Introduction

All of our Neuron sensors transmits their last measurement every second minute. But the sensors measure more often, most sensors every third second. A lot can happen in two minutes so therefore we have implemented a feature we call critical data transmission. So, if the delta between two measurements is over a predefined limit the sensor transmits immediately. This ensures that all rapid changes in measurements are logged and accessible in Neuron Cloud.

The predefined limit is listed in the datasheets for each sensor. Due to our duplex capabilites the limit is easily changed. Should you wish to change the limit to suit your application better please read this article about Customizing sensor parameters.

Note

Changing the limit so the sensor transmits more frequently will affect the battery lifetime of your sensor
